We’re enjoying another fantastic stay at the Domaine des Clos on the edge of Provence, France. We stayed here for four nights last summer while we planned a tour with four couples from Sarasota that is about to start (June 13) in Avignon. David and Sandrine Ausset have created a retreat from an old farm. They have lovingly restored this cloister of farm buildings into a bed and breakfast with incredible warmth and charm. Rooms are beautifully decorated and guests have use of a fully-equipped kitchen, several lounges and there are many nooks and crannies on the grounds for picnics or relaxing. And the pool, ah, the pool. We just love to sit by the pool at the end of the day and listen to the cicadas and watch the Ausset children practice their amazing aquatic feats of daring do. This is a truly authentic Provencal getaway.
