Effective April 26, all travelers into Italy will have to show proof of where they plan to spend a mandatory 14-day period of self-isolation quarantine. This effectively ends tourism from foreign sources for the rest of the year. I am closely monitoring this situation, which has understandably created an earthquake of outcry in a country where 13 percent of the economy is tourism-related.(2019 figures)
