It’s always a highlight (even if you have been there, as we have, more than 100 times) to bring guests to the lovely Klostercafe above the miniature hamlet of Beilstein on the peaceful Mosel River. We love to share the not-so-secret hideaway at the top of the restaurant, the little room surrounded on three sides by large windows looking down on most of the village and the sweeping panorama of the Mosel River Valley, with vines stretching out in every direction. It is somehow even more delicious, that glass of Mosel wine, when one can enjoy it from this vantage point. Add to this the fact that the cook knows how to make delicious soups and even better, their pastry chef makes mouth-watering cakes which somehow even after a large terrine of soup our guests always find an extra spot to try a piece.
